What’s In A Picture12 Oct, Level 1
It is said that we remember 80% of what we see, 20% of what we read, and 10% of what we hear. A look into our social media habits and increasing use of TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts is evident of that — we are visual creatures with an appetite for moving pictures. How then does one tell a story in today’s social climate? How can we construct a compelling visual language that encapsulates the nuances of the story we wish to tell?
What’s in a Picture explores how a story is conceptualised through designing a lookbook and a poster for film. In a design review circle with creative film production studio Layar Lucida, and graphic design and visual artist Ejin Sha whose work involves visual identities, participants present and exchange feedbacks on their ideas and design.
